Why Does Fresh-Roasted Yemeni Coffee Take 2-3 Weeks to Ship?

October 25, 2026 · Al-Aqeeq Team

Quick answerAl-Aqeeq does not sell coffee that has been sitting in a warehouse. We roast Yemeni coffee in small, fresh batches in Houston, let it rest, pack it and ship it via USPS, UPS or FedEx. That careful process takes about 2-3 weeks (excluding Sundays and holidays). Need coffee sooner? We are also on Amazon Prime.

What happens after you order

  1. Your order joins the next small-batch roast.
  2. Beans are roasted medium-dark and rested to degas.
  3. Coffee is packed in sealed bags.
  4. It ships from Houston, Texas with tracking.

Why it is worth the wait

Freshly roasted coffee has noticeably more aroma, sweetness and complexity than coffee roasted months ago. For a rare origin like Yemen, freshness matters.

Supply from Yemen

Occasionally, conditions in Yemen delay shipments to our Houston facility. If that affects your order, we will contact you with an updated timeline. See our shipping policy.
