Why Al-Aqeeq Coffee?

Rare origin. Unmatched freshness.
A flavor you won't find anywhere else.

Yemen is where coffee was first farmed and brewed as a drink, and Al-Aqeeq lets you taste that history. Grown high in the Haraaz Mountains, our beans develop a depth, complexity, and natural sweetness that mass-produced coffee simply cannot replicate. We source directly from the farmers who know these mountains best, which means no middlemen, no compromises, and no sitting in a warehouse for months. Every bag is roasted fresh, so what arrives at your door is as close to the source as coffee can get.

FAQ

Brewing, freshness & shipping

Everything you need to enjoy your bag of Yemeni coffee.

How do I brew Al-Aqeeq Yemeni coffee?

Use about 15 g of coffee per 250 ml of water (1:16) with water just off the boil. It shines in a French press, pour-over, drip maker or moka pot. Step-by-step guides are in our brewing articles.

How many cups does one bag make?

A 250 g bag makes about 16-20 cups of 8 oz brewed coffee. See the math.

What is the difference between Mocha Yemeni and Haraaz Fair Value?

Mocha Yemeni is rich and chocolatey, sourced across several Yemeni markets. Haraaz Fair Value comes from the Haraaz mountains and tastes brighter with dried-fruit notes. Compare them.

How should I store the beans?

Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dark cupboard and grind just before brewing. Enjoy within about 6 weeks of roasting, or freeze extra bags.

When will my order arrive?

Please allow 2-3 weeks for fresh roasting and shipping from Houston.

Is it 100% Arabica?

Yes. Yemeni coffee is 100% Arabica from heirloom varieties grown on mountain terraces.
